RECOVERY
Affordable Sober Living
The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it’s connection. The often parallel work of 12-step recovery programs and formalized addiction treatment programs — after the initial experience of detox — involves connecting the addict to other people. And not just any people, either. We’re talking about safe, supportive, reliable, empathetic people.
Affordable Sober Housing
Our primary goal is to create and maintain a safe, clean, and affordable environment which provides men the time to recover from the often daunting consequences of substance abuse. Our rates range between $500 – $1500 per month. Need-based scholarships and ‘Work for Rent’ programs are available.
Supportive Community
Our staff and employees are all in recovery and have personal experience with the physical, mental, and spiritual resources required for personal development. Our culture is a team approach to maximize group participation and minimize personal isolation. We have extensive connections and resources within the State of Connecticut recovery community to share with our clients.
Vocational Opportunities
Our homes have been created by renovating houses that have fallen into disrepair. RCD has licensed contractors on staff available to teach home renovation skills. On the job training is available on our own properties and off-site contract opportunities.
Structure for Living
We believe recovery from substance abuse requires accountability to the consistent practice of healthy life choices.
Residency requirements include –
• 24 Hour Supervision by Resident Advisor
• Curfew
• Agreed Upon Standards and Rules
• Drug and Alcohol Testing and Monitoring
• Recovery Meetings (AA, NA, Refuge, Church, etc)
• Common Office and Recreational Space
• Access to Outpatient and Spiritual Counseling and Sober Coaching

You are not alone!
“The idea is that we are born to form attachments, that our brains are physically wired to develop in tandem with another’s, through emotional communication, beginning before words are even spoken.”

Noble House
Recovery Community Development is on a mission to make a difference. Through the purchases of distressed residential properties in Bridgeport and the repurposing of acquired buildings, we teach home improvement trades to men in recovery.
Our residents are provided affordable housing in a supervised and supportive community and are offered the opportunity to learn and work on the buildings we've acquired. It is a way to build our community, support those in recovery, and increase the number of affordable housing solutions along the way.
With the renovation of Noble House completed, this sober living home is fulfilling its purpose by housing nine men in recovery.
