2024 was a year of notable achievements for our organization as we concentrated on developing and overseeing affordable, sustainable, and supportive sober living communities. Below are some highlights from our successful year:

2024 Annual Benefit Event

We hosted our third annual benefit on October 13, 2024, at Mitchells of Westport. Craig Melvin from the TODAY Show and Dateline NBC was our guest speaker.

The benefit was a tremendous success, raising approximately $90,000. These funds will support our operating expenses and the renovation of the second half of the property at 931 Noble Ave., which is scheduled for 2025.

576 Brooks Street Property – Bridgeport

– Renovations on the Brooks St. property are complete.

– We have added a new kitchen and renovated the second floor. Front and back porches, as well as the stairways, have been restored.

– These upgrades allowed us to add four beds, increasing our capacity to support ten clients.

– The Connecticut Probation system has approved the house as a service site.

933 Noble Avenue Property – Bridgeport

– The third-floor renovations at 933 Noble Ave. property have been completed.

– This process included repairing and replacing the HVAC, electrical systems, and sewer lines and insulating the roof with spray foam.

– The renovation added eight beds, further enhancing our ability to provide supportive housing.

925 Noble Avenue Property – Bridgeport

-Remains the only contracted sober living provider authorized by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in Fairfield County.

-The demand for rooms continues to be high, as shown by a persistent waitlist and a 92% occupancy rate.

-A former resident earned his LDCC certification and now advises current clients while working at Liberation Programs.

 17 Quintard Avenue – Norwalk

-Remains the only affordable sober living provider in the Norwalk/Stamford area of Fairfield County.

-Achieved a 95% occupancy rate through 2024.

 Community Engagement

– We organized volunteer days, including one with The Congregational Church of New Canaan on May 18 to paint the Brooks St. property, and another with Greens Farms Congregational Church on September 28 for exterior work and beautification at the Noble Ave. properties.

– We continue to support individuals who need to complete court-mandated community service hours. Four people assisted in painting and enhancing our grounds.

– These events improved our facilities, fostered community spirit, and created service opportunities for our neighbors.

As we reflect on 2024, we are grateful for the support from our community and partners, which has enabled us to make significant progress in our mission. We look forward to sustaining this momentum in the coming year.
